Bruno, I did in fact read the manual, my concern comes from the statements on pages D-19 and D-20 of the Adaptec EZ-SCSI manual where using the /h option with the ASPI.SYS command is discussed. This option is listed as a group 1 option and on the same page the statement is made "group 1 options should never be used in systems with AHA 1520/1522 host adapters." The SoundBlaster's SCSI port is an AHA 1522 adapter, I am not sure what they are warning will happen if you use this option I am simply concerned that there is a warning against doing this. Gary
