The guru behind the Emplant claims that ALL of the Amiga's custom chips can be
emulated thru DSP/RISC architecture and make the possibility of an Amiga Clone
card that fits in the palm of your hand possible. If what he says is true, and
the CBM deal goes completely sour, then it opens the door to clone manufacture
and work alike cards for other platforms. After all, who's ng to tie up all the
financial resources required to legally block such an action?
All things considered, it would appear that THIS may be the solution that
Newtek needs to pursue to extend the life of the Toaster as a hardware product
on other platforms.
