Jerry: Just picked up on this thread. This may sound dumb, but have you
tried a shorter printer cable?
FWIW: I'm using Wolf Faust's commercial Studio Printer Drivers for my HP
DeskJet Portable, but I do very little graphics printing with it. (It's
B&W, but can print graphics)
