Hi, Steve– Thanks, but I have reviewed MINLOG in this section; the mineral database part of it, when I looked at it over a year ago, did not have much on properties, since MINLOG is mainly a collection-cataloging program, not intended for identifying minerals (unless Jim has added a lot lately). Its mineral list is mainly for easy entry of mineral name with correct spelling. I had already found on the Internet a mineral database with names and formulae for all 3600+ minerals; unfortunately its rules forbid me to upload it here. With Lanny getting snowbound, maybe he will finish the polishing of his much larger mineral database before long. –Doug
