A message on one of the TPUG Forums reports a nasty bug in AmigaDOS' date handling. The message is #42826 on PCS-155. Essentially, the date command will only set the date forward, and whenever a disk is put in the drive, the DOS checks the dates of the files and sets the system date forward to the date of any file that was written 'in the future'. Thus a single mistake in entering the date, when followed by writing a file, can cause the system date to be destroyed every time that disk is put in a drive. I have not tested this yet (just saw the message minutes ago), but it sounds plausible. Anyone have 1.1? Is this fixed? – Bela
