Steve, the linefeeds are there for a reason: they are necessary if you want to do anything with the file on a different machine. Also, if you don't have a protocol terminal program, and just want to read it into a capture buffer, you may need the LFs to see what you're doing. Wait a sec! Amiga wants LFs, not CRs! Kill the LFs? That makes no sense at all. Anyway, George is supposed to have uploaded a program by now to strip CRs (or add them) — a fast, compiled C program which will make these complaints obsolete.
