Les, I am running version 2.20a release 2.00B of the compiler and I've found a bug which drove me crazy for a while. If the control variable of a FOR NEXT loop is an incompatible type with the expressions of the FOR statement, the compiler will generate error #128: type incompatibility but on the statement following the FOR statement. If the following statement happens to have an assignment in it, it will indicate that it is this assignment which is incompatible. example. VAR x : CARDINAL; y : LONGCARD; c1,c2 : CHAR; FOR x := 1 TO y DO c1 := c2 ^ 128 : type incompatibility END; * I finally noticed the true error, but I think that the compiler should have correctly pointed this out to me. Hope this helps. Steve Sutherland.
