My refresh rate is very close to 30Hz, as I can see the flicker in worst case operation — obviously my scan rate is not the same as NTSC. And I imagine the cost of this monitor could buy you a Yugo, if not an Escort (not that you'd want either one). My point was that this monitor gives a clear display, and largely due to very slow phosphor — Moving the mouse pointer across the screen leaves a nice ghost smear across the screen that fades slower that you'd expect. Why CBM didn't go for slower phosphor on the 1080 (less expense than raising the refresh/scan rates) is beyond me. -Dave Haynie
