Ok, thanks for your clarification of the A1000. As for the original PC, I wouldn't mind buying one – it will definitely be highly collectable years from now! My programming, for all intents & purposes, started off on a Unix machine. So I am no stranger to multi-tasking. But I haven't programmed for a graphics interface, such as is found on the Amiga or Mac. That is what scares me! How about reliability? How many (if any) times have you had to take you machine(s) into a shop? How difficult (read expensive) is repair work? jon
