Your friend is correct if he means that you can only use 20 megs of a 30
meg drive, but only if that drive is RLL and only if it is hooked to the
ST506 interface. It can be used to its full capacity on the SCSI interface
with a suitable adapter (an RLL one… Adaptek 4070 is one I think).
