ARexx
Marlene,
I can see the possibilities of ARexx, in a theoretical way. I hope that
ARexx catches on and that people share programs, just as we share our little PD
offers. I'm afraid that the $49.95 price will limit its exposure. Let me add
that it is an EXTREMELY fair price and that I will probably spring for it when
I hear that the shell is finished! But just like Byte-by-byte's InfoMinder,
such programs are limited by its limited number of users. Just think what
HyperCard for the Macintosh would be if it was sold by a third party for
$49.95. There would just be alot less people using and thus generating
stackware.
I certainly hope that ARexx, ARP, even Jim Mcraz's Commodities Exchange
take off and are used by all Amigas. My bet is that ARP has an excellent
chance, since it is free. I hope the best for Bill Hawes' ARexx, as well as
the rest of us!
Happy Holidays Marlene, and I wish you, and all the great and noble
SysOps, as well as all of my fellow AmigaForum members a happy, healthy and
exciting New Year!
Happy Hacking all!
