The problem with hard drive access under A-Max isn't a particularly easy one to solve. The main obstacle is that you need to write a driver for all the various hard disk boards on the Amiga to interface with them. (On the Mac, they don't have to worry about such things because a SCSI interface is standard equipment at a fixed address, etc.) To do that, one needs to be highly familiar with the Macintosh device driver setup, the way that A-Max works, and have detailed documentation on the hard disk controller boards. I'm sure they are working on this, but it will take time.
