SUBSCRIBER PROBLEM
To Amiga Transactor: December 1989 FROM: Patrick Beaudine
Compuserve ID = 76430,122 RE: nothing has been done yet PeopleLink
ID = SRU077
I've tried to solve my subscription problem in dealing with Transactor
directly but alas to no avail. Maybe you can help me. I gave a check to
cover subscriptions to Amiga Transactor and AmigaUser International to
Chris Zamara at the AmiEXPO NY in March 1989. After not receiving the
subscription I contacted Sandra Gallagher at Transactor (Jun.89) and she
said everything would be cleared up. Sandra mailed me, along with a hand
written apology, the missing issues through Amiga Transactor Vol. 2 No.3.
Another delay ensued in receiving any issues beyond Vol. 2 No.3. I then
wrote them a *letter* (my previous *phone calls* to Transactor totalled
$14.00). I subsequently received the lagging issues of AmigaUser
International and a subscription start for *C64/128 Transactor!!!* I just
went out and *bought* Amiga Transactor Vol.2 No.6 in my frustration. I am
now *missing* Amiga Transactor Vol.2 issues 4 and 5! I maintain a database
of all product reviews for Amiga and the database is on PeopleLink as
'AmiIndex1.arc' for all reviews 1985 -> March 1989. I am in the process of
preparing 'AmiIndex2.arc' for Apr. -> Oct. 1989 to be added to the previous
upload, but alas I am missing Amiga Transactor issues Vol.2 No. 4 and 5 and
Volume 3 No.2(October 1989). Could you please arrange for me to get the
missing issues of Amiga Transactor Vol.2 No. 4 and 5 and Volume 3 No.2 as
well as *correcting* my subscription intent back to the Amiga Transactor.
I recognize that Transactor has dutifully tried to solve this problem (I am
now receiving AmigaUser International OK — but with a 2 month delay) but
they can't seem get my subscription to *Amiga Transactor* in the computer
properly. I am also in the process of preparing a database for articles
and books on programming the Amiga going back to 1985. Hence you can see
why the Amiga Transactor, with it's wealth of programming articles, is
necessary to aquire. Please EMAIL your intention in dealing with this
matter. Thank
