Lee, – A 1meg system ought to be able to use several fonts without problems. Graphics can eat up RAM in a hurry, so that doesn't surprise me as much. How much RAM is available on the system before you run PixelScript? Are you using a lot of RAM for disk buffers? Could you email me a PostScript file that runs out of RAM? – The 2 extra meg of RAM will take care of the memory limitations for PixelScript. I use a 2.5meg A1000 myself, and only the largest and most complex pages fail to run. – To save memory, bypass the user interface and run the PxS inner interpreter module stand-alone. You'll need to do some "assigns" or, more simply, just start up PixelScript and exit — that will set up the required assigns. Then process the PostScript file (say, TEST.PS) by entering the command "PxS:PxS TEST.PS" in the CLI. This saves a lot of RAM (windows and menus etc require RAM). – We have 4 volumes of typefaces available today, and more coming soon. One of those volumes is a family (Providence) with Roman, italic, bold, and bold-italic forms. The other 3 have 3 display faces each. Remember, our fonts will work with City Desk 2.0 as well as PageStream and ProPage (etc). – I hope this helps! Have a happy and safe New Year's! Justin Fisher/Pixelations
