I recently had this problem with my Amiga. I have used an AMEGA board for several months, and then purchased a SCSI controller and drive from CLtd. They each worked when alone on the expansion bus, but I could not Kickstart when both were on together. My dealer obtained the PAL set for me from CLtd, and I installed it in about an hour. It involved pulling the cover and metal shield, removing the daughter-board, clipping two chips from their traces, removing the pins and cleaning the holes, soldering in two sockets, and installing the two PALs. It works fine, and I have had NO problems since. (I guess I should mention that you have to put it all back together afterwards…).
