I agree with you completely. You have put into words what I have not been
able to for so long. I am the fella that started this conversation long
long ago.
We (Video Computer Resources) are strongly considering not stocking Amiga
500s at all. We want the mass market folks to do well with Amiga 500s so
that the new A500 customers would come to the dealers to get 'peripherals'
and 'software'. This in effect allows us more capital to spend on bringing
in more specialized and higher-end equipment, like Video Toasters, etc.
We applaud the decision to have Montgomery Wards sell Amiga 500s. We hope
that Commodore will seperate the Amiga 500 line from the 2xxx/3xxx machines
by providing greater capabilities to these machines.
