Alan, Where on Earth did you get the idea that the HST has a "bad reputation"? What "legitimate" circles do you navigate in? This assertion couldn't be farther from the truth. Just because pirate scum also can understand that a fast modem reduces phone costs doesn't mean that it is the fault of the HST. A high-speed modem is a product of technological advances. The HST's popularity is due mostly to the marketing personnel of USRobotics who recognized early on that giving the sysops of BBS's a discount is the surest way to establishing themselves as a "standard". -jack-
