As a matter of fact, Jason – you only have to store the font header on the
disk, and that header can contain the path to the place where the actual
font is. When I was using only floppies, I had the headers for dozens of
fonts on my WB, taking up very little space, but each telling me which disk
to insert for a particular font. There is even a program in Library 11
called REN.??? that lets you set up a whole directory of fonts this way
with a single command.
This works on Amiga fonts. I believe that the CGfonts do not have headers
of this type, so it would not work on them.
