You're caught between a rock and a hard place. To run commercials, you have to purchase commercial time on just about any cable or broadcast system I can think of. Commercial time is very expensive. I have no idea how you could run the show for free and also run commercials on it. I'd be surprised to hear that it's been done anywhere. If you're running on an access channel, you can mention sponsors' names, but you can't run ads for them or even put their logo on the screen; they have to settle for a standard CG font of their name.
