Ben, you're imagining things… Even the very first Toasters were
reasonably nice looking. Yes, they were prototypes, but why is that a
problem? With hardware, at least you can look at the final product, and
determine whether it's well-crafted from a mechanical standpoint. With
software, something can be ludged-together and a tangled mess, and you'd
never know it from doing a "LIST".
