BTW, Mark, if ToasterPaint makes you think you see something in HAM and then "render" it to the Toaster it does stink, at least as far as the people who are spending $1,600 on the toaster are concerned. Also, this issue of real-time I think is a bad phrase. It is simply a matter of a certain amount of time: how long it takes to change a byte in Amiga chip ram and how long it takes to change a Byte in the toaster's frame buffer. The ratio should be a good estimate of how much slower the toaster will be. Personally I don't think the time difference is that bad. Most likely the simply didn't finish a real ToasterPaint in time. That doesn't change the fact that the current toasterpaint stinks.
