James… having characters saved from Dungeon Master does make it easier to survive in Chaos Strikes Back… but the game really can be played with a party made up of the new Champions… in fact, just for fun, I played all the way through with *ONE* of the new Champions… 🙂 In that first room, the first thing you should do is to back up several steps to give yourself a little breathing room, then cast a Light spell so you can see what's where… then start Fireballing the Worms from a distance… stay away from their mouths, keep moving… but… Don't go near the gate where you first appeared… there's a nasty surprise waiting for you if you do step on the wrong spot..! Another hint… explore that first room VERY carefully… "Tap" on the walls to see what you might find… BobR
