Chris, thanks for the product advice. The main question I have (I guess) is about the protocols used…. are there others (than V.32/42 and V.32bis) that are likely to become the 'standard'? Or are these the 'standard'? I'd hate to spring $400+ on a 9600 modem and find out that I chose the wrong one later. If that's a strong possibility, then I'd rather wait till things sort out.
