I do not know why so many 800 numbers are not listed either but I know that
many are not. I usually call 800-555-1212 first if the company does not
have a listed 800 number then I call them collect and often they will say I
can not accept a collet call but they party can use our 800 number and then
give the operator the 800 number.
It is a pain but better than paying the toll
