I wish I could give a difinitive answer, but I'm not sure. That's why (I
think) I phrased my reply in questions. I was told that the A3000/16 could
not be upgraded to an A3000/25, period. To me, that seemed like a serious
drawback to the machine, as speed is becoming just as important as gobs of
ram these days. You can upgrade an A2000 by adding any number of
accelerators for just about any budget… I've seen 25 MHz GVP A3001 kits
sold used for under $1000… so, a new A2000HD + a used GVP board would run
somewhere around $2300… just under the cost of an A3000/25.
