Charles, I would not take Word Perfect for Windows a good example of a Windows based program. I have the same problem with WPWin on my 486SX20 at work. Take a good look at Microsoft's WinWord 2.0, it's considerably better than WPWin! In my honest opinion, WPWin tries too hard to look and act like the DOS-text based system (sort of like what Word Perfect did to the Amiga version of Word Perfect – they did non-standard things). The critics have been harping on Word Perfect for this. Word Perfect for Windows only supports DDE in one-direction also (acts only as a server, not client & server) – why go to a Windows environment if you are not going to tout the advantages of it. (ie: DDE, and OLE).
