Harry, I know of no PC card that detects what kind of monitor is attached, certainly there are PC programs that detect what type of video adapter is hooked up, but that still doesn't tell it what kind of monitor is hooked to the card. That doesn't mean such a device doesn't exist…it's just that I've never seen one. Now, on computers like the Atari ST, it detects if it's got the Atari color monitor or Atari monochrome monitor attached by a jumper wire in the monochrome monitor.
