Thanks for the reply John. What you say sounds like it will work, but it is a little short of what I was hoping for. Still, it may work for sending text files. I could have them TYPEd and capture them at the other end. It doesn't compare very favorably with the capabilities which come with a PC program like PROCOMM. Neill
