If they're Adobe fonts, you could look in the Adobe or DTPforums. I know
there are hundreds of AFMs over there.
On the other hand, if you have a PostScript printer, there is a little
PostScript program around which, if you operate the printer down a serial
connection via a term program, will generate an AFM for you (but without
kerning info).
I'm also told that there are PFM->AFM converters in the PC areas on CIS,
but I haven't yet seen them … and I'd love to write one for the Amiga.
