OK, I understand. No, handshake has been turned off. I don't know if you want to hear this, but I had another doozy the other night. I was on a local BBS trying to download a PD terminal program so I could start ruling out causes of this problem. I was on a fairly long Y-Modem download at 1200 baud, and I left the room for a while. When I came back, no data was coming over the modem, and the hard disk was doing this continuous write, as if it were writing an extremely long file. This lasted for about ten minutes, when I finally got nervous and hit the reset key sequence. Well, the C Ltd. hard disk drivers took a few minutes to get things on the hard disk patched up (since I apparently did reset during a write) but when the system finally came to life, I was missing * 8 Megabytes of hard disk space. It looks like something went into an endless loop write routing. Since Diga! was downloading and was the only program that was SUPPOSED to be writing at that time, it is suspect. I realize, though, that in a multitasking system, it is difficult to place definite blame. But, I guess you can put this one in your files too, in case it happens to someone else in the future.
