Thanks for the kind words! If you think that is hot, wait until you see Volume 1! The Gold disk (a WORM-like test press) should be here tommorrow. The enhancements are as follows: 1. 45 min SoundBlaster soundtrack to the main FLI loop. Thats 45 min on a 64k cached continuous read drive, BTW) When the user types SBGO, Creative Technology's MMPLAY is launched into a very long sequence. All of the music was composed by Nico Boese and sequenced/authored by Peter White. They work at CPS Computer Distribution, the exclusive German distributors of the SoundBlaster. I didn't believe how good the quality of the sound was till I heard it. In addition there are about a dozen shareware type SoundBlaster demos. Most of these are hard coded Amiga MOD ports to the sound blaster that drive all 4 tracks with real time osciliscopes. 2. Macintosh support in the form of: a. FLI100 – the first Mac FLI player. It works but there are definately some minor problems with the palette processing. It doesn't stream but loads the entire file into memory. On a 5MB MacII with System 7.0 a 1.02MB FLI was the largest that we could load assuming that there were no other tasks. b. Director animation and 24 TIFF files courtesy of ARTEC, the London based Art and Technology Centre. c. Complete ISO9660 compliance… You will get icons if you throw it in a MAC! [cont] [More]
