I beat on it for quite a while and found the following:
1. It doesn't stream FLIs from disk but loads them in for processing. On a
5MB Mac II CI running no other tasks under System 7 the largest FLI we
could load was 1.02MB.
2. It is definately slow, much slower than I expected but it worked. On
FLIs with minimal delta, such as our ICL_16, the animation played at full
speed.
3. I encountered exactly the same palette trashing that you mention on
about 1/2 of the FLIs I loaded but never got the bad chunk error. How did
you port the FLIs? Maclink? SuperDrive? I was reading them of our CD-ROM
with no problems at all.
