I heard a rumor that CBm raised the price because NewTek raised their
price. 🙂 I'm not clear on the time-line of these events… CBM did
have a promotion running this summer that placed the bare A2000 at about
$999. It's strange that they raised the price. I don't get it. You can
get an 8 meg, 486/33 with 200 meg drive and monitor and DOS and Windows for
$2950 from Gateway. Again, it's a great PC for an incredibly low price.
