I use stacker on my machines at home and at work. There is the potential for a problem on a particularly nasty crash, but if you keep reasonable backups of your system, the recovery isn't too bad. I backup my work system to a DAT tape every week (at a minimum) so I am pretty well covered. Stacker works with everything that I've tried. It gets blamed sometimes for anything that goes wrong with a disk, usually by people that don't really know what's wrong. Not to say that Stacker never causes problems, but I've fought with service techs who tried to blame Stacker instead of finding out what was really wrong with the drive. I would say use it, but BACK YOUR SYSTEM UP! (you should be doing that anyway). CHris
