Philip: The ability to transfer a file between several DTP programs would be really good. While you say you can't really see taking a PPage doc to Pagemaker, I can see where it would come in handy. I can see where having some form of universal transfer format that would possibly be agreed upon by all the major DTP programmers would be REAL handy, for example, I had a project I was working on with a friend, he swears by PageStream, (personally I swear AT it, but that's another story), and he wanted me to help him finish it up (of course I use PPage), so it was harder for me to work with him as I had to use PageStream, and I don't know PgS half as well as I know PP, then once we were finished with it we took it to be printed on a linotronic, and of course they use PCs & Macs with PageMaker, so we had to bring them a PS file, and of course once printed it needed minor changes, but we couldn't do them! If we were able to bring the file in some universal format we could have made our changes in a couple of minutes, and reprinted, but instead we had to wait another day, as we had to go home, do the changes, resave the PS file, and by then they were of course closed! // -Mike Schiller \X/ AMIGA!
