A1200 Performance
AIBB V.5.0 BENCHMARK COMPARISON OF THE AMIGA 1200 IN THREE CONFIGURATIONS
CHIPRAM ONLY; WITH PCMCIA RAM; AND WITH MBX 1200 FASTRAM
Results are normalized on the standard A1200 (chipram only), i.e., ChipRAM
1200 = 1.0 in all tests

Note: the bottom half of the table presents results of
floating-pointintensive benchmarks.
CONCLUSION: The PCMCIA Memory is a definite liability –and MBX 1200
FastRAM is a clear advantage. Note: my company makes MBX 1200 [MicroBotics]
–I feel that the PCMCIA issue is of general enough interest to warrant
publishing these figures. –Redmond
