David, The Targa+ is a good choice for quality (better if you go through an encoder or transcoder w/house sync). Depending on your screen updates, it might be a bit slow. Due to memory architecture, it actually performs better once over 512 across, such as at 640×480, but you don't get the video aspect and full overscan.
