Sony Laserdisk Recording
We have an opportunity to sell our Beta-SP BVW75 for a good price to a post
house and suddenly find ourselves wanted to evaluate alternatives at the
same (or better) quality level. I have heard that Sony has released a
laserdisk recorder (I think it is called the LVM-3000) in the $13-15K
range. I have also heard that it takes RGB direct from the computer (like
AT-Vista), transcodes it internally, records in component at Beta-SP
quality, and outputs either component or composite. It sounds too good to
be true. <grin>. Can anyone either confirm or deny any of these features
or add to a discussion?
We are not in a big hurry (have a couple of months to make a decision) but
would appreciate whatever you can do to help us make our decision. Thanks!
