Sorry to jump in on your thread but I wanted to get in my 2 cents worth. It seems to me that it is time for CBM to face reality: virtually all of the new machines will be going to consumers that *already* own CBM computers. All this talk of positioning the 600/1200 so as to exapand the market seems kind of silly to me – Commodore should be positioning the machines so as to entice as many amiga owners as possible to upgrade! And adding a scsi interface would be a natural part of this strategy. I believe that the problem stems from the fact that ina way, Commodore doesn't have any competition. They are the only company that makes amigas, and amigas are the only computers that do the kind of things they do for the money. So the only way the consumer can get what it wants from Commodore is to yell, scream, and complain as much as possible! In the end the consumer always wins – Commodore has to come up with an attrative and enticing product that will allow me to use as much of my existing equipment as possible, or I won'y buy it.
