#Deskjet 500C output
Murph:
It depends on the size of the market in Green Bay! But the main problem
may be your under-capitalization. I found that to get REALLY good clients,
you have to know the program REALLY well. The only way to do this is to
invest time in learning and training yourself, and invest money in getting
the hardware and support software to be able to offer a complete solution.
When Autodesk first came out with 3D Studio, they thought that a dealer
would have to invest about $150,000 to make it fly. I found that number
rather low, but then I've always been attracted to the newest, latest, and
greatest gadgets for running the program. This includes networking, video
output, multiple types of graphics cards for clients to compare, extra
copies of the program to loan to good clients for evaluation (I DO like the
hardware lock for that reason!), tape decks, editors, recordable laser
disk, etc. And then training your staff to KNOW the program and all it's
funky features and configurations! Not a small task, to say the least!
Let me know how it goes…
Good Luck,
