Hi Betty
>The problem is probably caused by the XON/XOFF.<
Using the PRACTICE FORUM as my benchmark, I have tried everything I can
think off. 2400 baud is no problem. At 9600 I have tried NO HANDSHAKING –
XON/XOFF – RTS/CTS – capture on to HD, RAM: and no capture. All to no
avail.
I don't think RTS/CTS works with my Amiga 1000 as I can not plug the
SurpraFax directly into the serial port. Some problem with the PIN OUTS I
have been told that 3 PINS have to be disconnected, but do not know which
3. So at present I am connected through the cable from my old Amiga 1200 RS
modem, that means only 7 PINS are being used.
One thing that does work, is when the messages start to scramble I
switch HANDSHAKING from XON/XOFF to NONE, and this clears the problem up
for a while, when it starts again I switch back to XON/XOFF.
