Here are just a few key feature comparison points when evaluating the OPTI-NET NLM versus the CorelSCSI! product: OPTI-NET includes a licensed copy of the Microsoft Extensions for each networked CD-ROM user. The Extensions list for $50. The CorelSCSI! product requires the Extensions for each user, but does not provide the licenses to you. OPTI-NET can share CD-ROMs from your server without requiring a connection for each user. The CorelSCSI! product requires each user to both load the NETX shell and log in to the network. The OPTI-NET workstation software can be loaded when needed and removed from memory when your session is complete. The CorelSCSI! product requires the networked CD-ROM device driver (in .SYS form) to be loaded at all times, and cannot remove itself or the Extensions from memory.
