This morning I unwrapped a copy of Beethoven's Ninth and I will add that to
my list of the best (even if I haven't made it work through the
soundblaster yet and can only use it through the headphone jack) I think I
read every page of it and will again! I hope there will be a lot more of
that type. I think a little more of showing the score as it played would be
nice though.
BTW, neither Soundblaster nor Microsoft really address making the midi work
to any extent. The readme file on the cd-rom says to re-name midimap.cfg to
midimap.win and re-name midimap.old midimap.cfg. For some reason I am not
generating a midimap.old. I reinstalled both the Soundblaster stuff and the
cd-rom stuff without any improvement. Anybody who has crossed this bridge
before please respond!
