Oh, yeah. We got back to the shop with several moments to spare. By
that time I had nearly thawed out and had gotten over the fact that
one of my skis had cracked (as I think back and recall more and more
details of the trip). I got the guitar back and it is the blonde
Guild I use on acoustic gigs to this day. BTW, my current band is
breaking up. Our last gig is New Year's Eve at Shari's Still… 23rd
and Burnham, for those of you who may want to (or will despite your
best efforts) be in Milwaukee over New Year's. The bass player is
trying to adopt a responsible life style and quitting music is one of
the gestures he's making to that end. (HA! Good luck!) It's not worth
it to me to try to find another one, since he and I are most of the
dynamic in the group. I'm thinking of trying to form a repertoireless
group devoted to exploratory music aimed at the attainment of
ecstatic states of consciousness. In this town… I dunno…. Feel
like migrating? <g>
