I was replying to a message that said CIS E-mail would be a good way to
transfer files. While I agree on small ones, the big ones which I would
consider servicing out are ususally bigger than 1.5 megs and have massive
amounts of texture maps to go along with it. I tried E-mailing a mesh to Adesk
once, and was going to be charged $30. I hopped in the car and drove it over
instead. Cost me a buck or two in gas, and 3 bucks bridge toll. On a 40meg
project (with tga's) I could fly to Hawaii for cheaper than CIS E-mail. I
agree with you, a #800 BBS would be the perfect way.
