Alex, if there is enough interest, I may put up my BBS system again. I
participated in FidoNet for about a year. The system required minimal
maintenance, but started to get a bit costly.
I maintained a separate phone number at $20+ per month. I dedicated a 286 with
only a 2400 Baud modem and too little hard drive space. I imagine file storage
for a 3DS BBS would need to exceed 600 Megs as a minimum!
There are certainly some benefits to running a "free" BBS, so I'm going to look
into starting up again. Let me know your thoughts on this.
