I repeat, I don't have my Music-X yet, so cannot comment on that program. KCS can be driven from either the internal clock, a "dumb" external MIDI clock, or external MIDI clock with song position pointer. I'd imagine the KCS CP is the same as it is on Caged Artist's patch editors: a bad sector or track that the program looks for. If this is the case, you can copy the needed (good) files over to a backup disk, and just insert the master during boot, ala key disk. My only CP complaint against the Caged Artist stuff i is if you try to bypass it or accidently name the backup disk the wrong thing, the CP doesn't just refuse to load… it crashes the machine. Dumb.
