#DF1: vs. 5.25" MSDOS
Can anyone tell me if it is feasible to use drive df1: in the A2000 in place
of the 5.25" disk drive the comes with the 2088 bridge card? I made a cable
(34 pin) that goes from the back of DF1: to the bridge card connector, and
had no luck. It seemed to access the drive, but I got a message stating:
"Drive A: Bad" and I know for a fact that the disk in the drive was not bad
(the 3.5" was a copy of the 5.25" Dos disk that CBM ships). Also, it would
say the same thing with no disk in the drive! I spoke with Haynie of CBM, and
he said that in theory, it should work! Maybe my cable wasn't crimped
