I'm using your old Amiga 2000 Impact SCSI controller with 2 MB ram built in. It has got the Faast Rom V3.07. I've got a Quantum 105 MB drive a Syquest 88Mb Toshiba CDROM and Wangtek 150MB streamer on the bus. The tape drive works fine except in the following case: If I try to append a file somwhere along the tape I get a SCSI PHASE error back from the driver. This happens when using the BTN tape driver and when using Quarterback. I can rewind the tape and then write two or three files one after another without problem. If I , for example write three files on the tape and then rewind and skip the first file I am unable to write a new file at this position. Basically I can only write to the tape if I start writing at the beginning and then continue to write files to tape. If I try to rewind and read files and then write I always get a SCSI PHASE error back(when using BTN Tape handler which uses SCSI DIRECT).Quarterback just stops. Ged Murphy on Autopilot ……Bonn,Germany
