Check into a subscription to VideoMaker Magazine. You can usually find it in bookstores, even in the neighborhood grocery. Very informative reading for consumer and pro-sumer level videography. They also have many articles on formats, camera buyers guides, editing, system set-up, etc. Better info than in any book, for about the same price (i.e. 1 subscription = 1 book). Hope this helps.
